Crafts Made By People Living With Sight Loss In Norfolk To Be Sold At Summer Events Across The County

Crafts and other handiworks made by some of Norfolk’s vision impaired people are to go on sale at a variety of summer events across the county, to raise money to support the work done by sight loss charity Vision Norfolk.

The amazing crafts have been made by a number of groups organised by the charity, part of a wide-ranging programme of activities which is designed to help counter social isolation for those living with sight loss.

Vision Norfolk will be selling the handiworks at stalls at the following events across the summer:

  • Sprowston Summer fete, Saturday 23rd July
  • Shoulder of Mutton pub, Strumpshaw, Saturday 30th July
  • Old Buckenham Air Show, Saturday and Sunday 30th and 31st July
  • Hoveton Village Fete, Saturday 8th August
  • The Aylsham Show, Monday 29th August

Rob Collins, head of community fundraising at Vision Norfolk, said, ”We are really grateful to the organisers of some of the county’s most popular summer events for inviting us to come and sell the crafts made by vision impaired people from Norfolk.

“Our experience is that the general public are blown away by the craftworks which are produced by our groups.

“The charity is about helping people living with sight loss to live independent and fulfilled lives, and all of the vision impaired people who have been involved in making these items are proof that sight loss doesn’t mean a loss of creativity, or the desire to give something back.
