See below a list of independent local clubs that may be of interest. Vision Norfolk also runs over 50 clubs and activities across the county for local people living with sight loss so please have a look at our activities list or get in contact if you are interested in getting involved.

Dereham Macular Group
The Macular Society is a charity that aims to beat Macular Disease by providing advice and support, and by funding research looking for a cure. They run local support groups in order to provide information and support to those with Macular Disease, their family and friends. The meetings are open to anyone affected by central vision loss. Family, friends and carers welcome. The Dereham Group meets on the second Tuesday of the month from 10:30am until 12:30am at The Guildhall, St. Withburga Lane, Dereham, NR19 1ED.

Downham Market Macular Group

Norwich Phab Club
The Norwich PHAB Club is a free local community group open to people with disabilities. They meet on Mondays from 7pm until 8:30pm at Hellesdon Community Centre, Woodview Road, NR6 5QB to socialise and create music. They have a number of members with sight loss and would welcome anyone else who would like to come along.

Norwich Pub Social
Please come along to the Norwich Pub Social, an informal social group run by and for local working age visually impaired people. Run by Lucy Manning, who is Norwich based, visually impaired and in her 20’s. She is organising the Norwich Pub Social to try and bring together local blind and partially sighted working age people from across Norwich and Norfolk.
