New Volunteers And Activities Co-Ordinator Appointed At Sight Loss Charity’s Great Yarmouth Hub

A new member of staff at the Great Yarmouth hub of Norfolk’s sight loss charity has been appointed with the aim of expanding the organisation’s band of volunteers, and co-ordinating a wide-ranging and varied activities programme taking place in and around the town.

Catherine Bond has Joined Vision Norfolk, based at the charity’s hub on Hall Quay in the town.  Originally from Belton, Catherine has a background in care.

Alongside her volunteer and activities role, she will be helping the team at the Great Yarmouth hub reach out to more vision impaired people in the east of the county.

Great Yarmouth hub co-ordinator Ed Bates said, “We are delighted that Catherine has joined our small team at the hub.  Volunteers play a central part in delivering the wide range of services we offer to vision impaired people in the county, and having a dedicated volunteers co-ordinator will help us recruit more people, and to ensure that their work is as rewarding for the volunteers themselves as it is vital to the charity.”
